SHRINES!
a group show

Little porcelain dogs lie in wait beside napkin holders and doilies. A collection of used cups balance on top of bank statements, while a few useless screws bask in the afternoon sun. These little
tableaus are created naturally in any household or workspace. They attest to one's priorities; the physical evidence of our daily tasks. And sometimes these little piles point to something larger, often
unnoticed or unrecognized;
15 Toronto artists, of various ages and backgrounds, have been asked to create their own shrines, or devotional pictures. SHRINES! is a call to all of us, to consider what we hold dear, to ask why we
surround ourselves with pictures and writings and useless porcelain dogs. To consider the influence of our surroundings, and acknowledge that natural tendency to build these domestic temples.

X and O Show :

Where Kisses Mean Goodbye. By Lover Magazine

The Bait Shop Gallery

This group showing of illustration, photography and preformance was a success. The money that was raised was donated to the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre. My piece, entitled Deflower was submitted to this showing. This piece features a nude woman, whose genitalia has been replaced by an orchid, which symbolizes the loss of virginity. The vines symbolize the control and stigma that society has reguarding female sexuality. The piece is a collage of traditonal dry media, mixed with digital texture and colour. The show featured the work of many talented arists from around the city. It was an honour to be displayed along side these artists.
