Ashley Cruikshank was born and raised in Burlington Ontario. From a young age she found an immense interest in art. She was first published at the age of 12, in the nationally syndicated magazine OWL. From highschool, she went on to attend Sheridan Collage for portfolio preparation. From there she was accepted into OCAD's design stream where she majored in Illustration.

While she specializes in figurative work, her imagination is what fuels her. Her work often combines the worlds of both traditional media and digital. Combining organic line with subtly coloured and textured forms she creates her own world in which her mind wanders... A lot.

She currently lives in Toronto with designer Phil Roberto and her two cats Kali and the 3 legged runt, Trixie.
